Park & Ride
How is it different to the Endeavour card for 16 to 19 year olds?
The adult Endeavour card is for park and ride only at the moment and does not require a photograph on the card for identification.
Why Endeavour card?
The Endeavour card speeds up boarding the bus, there is no need to worry about having the right change and they allow up to 60 journeys to be bought at any one time.
There is no time limit or expiry date on the journeys stored, this means there is no need to worry about losing money paid out in advance if you are ill or take a day off.
With Ipswich park and ride you get to use every trip you buy, rather than a monthly or other time-based pass where you may end up paying for trips you never make.
Where do I get an Endeavour card?
Cards can be ordered online or purchased at the travel shop at the Old Cattle Market. The details you register will only be available to Suffolk County Council and First, it will not be shared with third party organisations.
You can register your card online, this will allow us to stop someone else using your card if it is lost or stolen.
How do I use the Endeavour card?
Swipe the card across the ticket machine located by the driver when entering the bus (both at the park and ride site and also when returning) and the journey will be deducted from your total.
The ticket machine will print a confirmation slip telling you how many journeys you have left on your card.
How many journeys can I purchase at a time?
The maximum number of journeys we sell in one transaction is 60.
All journeys on Ipswich park and ride made by the Endeavour card is valid for adult return journeys only.
The only other condition is that for administrative reasons, journeys must be purchased in blocks of 10.
Do you offer a group Endeavour card?
No, unfortunately we are unable to offer group Endeavour cards on the service.
Group tickets can be bought for return journeys for up to 5 people (maximum of 2 people over 19 years of age).
Do you offer a concessionary Endeavour card for free travel bus pass holders?
No. We are unable to provide concessionary Endeavour cards on the service and discounted tickets must be purchased individually.
When can I top up my card?
Extra journeys can be added to an Endeavour card in blocks of 10 trips whenever you like, providing the maximum of 60 journeys is not exceeded.
Please note that Endeavour card holders who are entitled to discounted journeys can't top up online at present.
Will you need any information from me?
You will need to register your card online - this will allow us to stop someone else using your card if it is lost or stolen.
The details you register will only be available to Suffolk County Council and First. It will not be shared with third party organisations.
What if I lose my card?
If you lose your card we can stop anyone else from travelling with it by using the serial number records as mentioned above, it will however be up to you to tell us if a card has gone astray.
We will then issue you with a replacement card, please note a replacement fee may be applicable.
If there is value on your Endeavour card, your replacement card will be issued with the balance of funds as taken 48 hours after notification has been received by Suffolk County Council, this allows all transactions and journey history to be processed by our system.
